MAPSB - allow creation of equivalent links ( usage & occurrence ) to non-latest versions
Today MAPSB does not support creation of equivalent links to non-latest versions.
In the real world the upstream BOM ( designers BOM ) are constantly changing during project timeline.
From time to time the project want to "freeze" the upstream BOM so the project could get a "stable" reconciliation point. With that said the project do not want to stop designers work so the upstream BOM will still changing during project timeline.
It is easy to create a baseline or filter upstream BOM on state so all users in the project could look at a stable "freeze" upstream BOM.
The problem is that MAPSB could not work on this stable "freeze" upstream BOM because MAPSB does not support creation of equivalent links to non-latest versions.
If MAPSB support this manufacturing could work on a stable product and do their analysis to get a "stable" reconciliation point.
This is a blocker for manufacturing to accept Windchill today.
To use change management is out of scope because it is not user friendly and to complex in Windchill.
