MPMLink Process Plan - Save As BOM with Process Plan

How to copy WTPart structure with related process plan for assembling process? Today during coping process plan for a copied assembly we lost alocated part information from process plan and we lost a lot of time due repeated allocating parts to operations.

Requested functionality:

1) Designer create BOM (Product Structure)

2) Manufacturing Engineer create Assembly procces plan and allocate components from BOM (structure)

3) Designer Save As BOM with associated process plan

4) Designer edit new BOM

5) Manufacturing Engineer only edit operations and component allocation in process plan based on  design changes.

Is there any answer from PTC?

It is quite old IDEA but really VALID one which can change our speed of working from stone age to rocket speed in case of creation similar assemblies + process plans.

No I did not expect, but don't understand why I should duplicate this with creation of new IDEA if this was created as New Idea.

What I expected is answer from PTC if they see it as a good IDEA or bad IDEA if it will be implemented or not or whatever reaction from them.

I strongly agree that PTC should response but...

Anyway this is good Idea and it could save many work hours per year.

In the right upper corner there is the Options button.

You can use this button to choose Notify Moderator and ask the community manager to involve some PTC's PM to write their position on any single idea.

I just did it.
