MPMLink Work Instructions: control print order of WI with sequences involved?

Today there is no support for controlling what order the sequences are printed in for Work Instructions.

The behavior is that:

print of the pages (generate Work Instructions) are sorted on Label Number. And it takes first all operations, and then the sequences in the order of the label number (regardless if seq2 are handled prior to seq1 since seq1 has lowest Label Number).. Label Number for sequences are "un-touchable" so one cannot either change that value.

As is:

Expected:

To be able to control in what order the operations or sequences are printed in.

Hi Patrik

another very good idea. I think MPMLink is still a young product and far to compete with ERP to create process plan and work instructions.

While I see the entire benefit of having it done in Windchill as part of the development of the product, user will adopt it only if they feel it makes their life easier so basic functionalities such as you describe in that idea and the other one should already be part of MPMLink.

Thumb up for that idea.

Hopefully it will be implemented before my new company start implementing MPMLink....

Best regards

Hi Chris, thanks for your feedback! I agree with you, along with my customer who are experienced in this field from tools provided by other vendors and have several expectations on basic funcationalities (such as this) to be included in MPMLink.
