Hi,

We are Windchill workflow beginners but we would love to get the existing business rule BOM_RELEASE_RULE logic available in change management in the Promotion Request workflow when releasing a BOM.

it make sense to have the system help checking that all appropriate object are in the good lifecycle state to make the result with consistency.

 

Can you help now (without having custom coding...)

in the next Windchill release or 11.1 CPS...

Hi,

I am a little disappointed to learn that the bom validation via business rules is not supported. I don't really understand the logic behing this. A promotion is another way to evole the maturity of parts and this also includes boms. My client is using both promotion request and change notices to promote objects and it would be great to reuse the same rules. I know will have to create some custom code in order to reproduce the same logic.
