It is tedious to get the effectivity date of a child part. It could be good we can see the effectivity dates of all parts in Product structure page, This enable us to plan and organize new products.
We are having 10.2 M30. Can you let me know how define the "Alias Attributes" I would like to try this option. I had raised PTC Issue they mentioned it is not possible, Your approach seems most promising.
but should may be now possible directly in the type manager...
by adding an alias attribute with this kind of configuration (just a dummy example ... not correct class name) wt.part.WTpart¦com.ptc.MyLink¦com.ptc.DateEffectivity.date
i would like to try your solution (in my case effectivity is by serial number, so it should work) could you please tell me the class i should put in the Alias attrubute?
