Salut,

there is "Enable Search Facets" option in Preference Management we can set up "Yes/No".

After search performed side bar is always opened which is disturbing and taking space. It can be minimized but setting keeps only until browser is closed. We want to perform search with side bar always minimized so suggesting to add new option like "Yes (minimized).

And/or give it a "pin" button to allow it to be pinned open like the search panel itself. Give the option to the user to dynamically save it as an open/closed state with their page layout.
