In Acces Rules management, Revise action and New View are separated rights
But in LifeCycle Transitions, there's only Revise transition (which control Revise AND new View).
If we design for example a simple WTPart Lifecycle IN_WORK - PENDING VALIDATION - RELEASE, with revise transition on the RELEASE state to avoid Design Engineer to revise a non yet released part. But it throws a lifecycle transition Veto if a Manufacturing Engineer try to change View for building its manufacturing BOM ....
In a typical MPMLink usage, Manufacturing Engineers will not wait that the Design part is realeased to start building the manufacturing BOM ....
a workaround is to allow Revise transition at all lifecycle states. And to create DENY Revise access rules for design engineers In all concerned contexts ans lifec cycle states ... not realy easy depending of the numbers of Organizations , Containers et Lifecycle you have ....
It should be possible to control separatly transitions for Revise and New View....
