Enhancement Request - We need the ability to send a Windchill WTDocument to someone merely for review (i.e. Directors, VP's, etc...) without requiring them to log into Windchill to download the object first (for a myriad of reasons).
The current solution is unusable because attaching the PBO to an email will only occur if the "recipient(s)" are non-Windchill users AND these non-Windchill user email addresses are hard-coded into the workflow task:
How would the recepient list change on a per document workflow process if they're hard-coded into the workflow process?
If the option to send an attachment is selected in the Attachments tab of the workflow notification robot:
...then send the PBO as an attachment to the Role indicated in the Recipients list, regardless if they're a Windchill user or not:
Obviously they would not be able to change the document object without logging in to Windchill (and also having the correct access). But sending the PBO to whomever is listed as a recepient makes sense. We do not want to insist they log into Windcill merely to review the document - this is just not pratical in a real world scenario.
Please remove the restriction of only sending the PBO as an email attachment when the recepient(s) are not Windchill users. Send the PBO to whomever is in the recepient list regardless.
