Option Manager role should support "Assign Option-Set" action

Option Manager role should support "Assign Option-Set" action

User has to be part of "Product Manager" or "Library Manager" roles to assign option set to a product / library. This constraint is not practical in real time business scenario.

1. Log in to Windchill as a user which is not a part of "Product Manager" role.
2. Go to Product Details tab.
3. Add another tab and choose General > Assigned Option Set
4. The Add button + is not visible.

This is wrong. There should be other roles which should be allowed to have access for this action as product manager is a very "broad" level role. From a business perspective, this is impractical. Please suggest a solution.

The condition that the user must be a Context Manager to Assign Option Set is still valid in Windchill 12. In a real business situation it is not possible to put an Option Manager in that role. And is not practical to delegate this task to an Organization Administrator.

Agree with previous comments. This standard task should not require such a high level of authority to assign an Option Set.  This creates a real problem for our business and should be addressed by PTC.
