Option for Security Labelled objects visible to non-authorized users as "(Secured Information)"

Option for Security Labelled objects visible to non-authorized users as "(Secured Information)"

Option to have Security Labelled objects accessible and searchable (by name or number) but obscured as "(Secured Information)" to non authorized users.

We are finding that users that can't see objects restricted by Security Labels aren't told that it is a Security Label problem- they show an error saying that either they don't have access or it doesn't exist.

In theory users should be allowed to know of their existence but not of their content- and thus request for an agreement from compliance team for temporary access to e.g. internal sensitive content.

Some items within Windchill already show "(Secured Information)" when user has insufficient permission to read object data. Could this be extended to security labelled object pages and search items.

I think this could be useful, I would suggest making it configurable with regards to what real data what gets displayed to the user (e.g. Name, Number, Name and Number?).

Also, you should vote for your own suggestion.

This feature would be greatly invaluable, especially if configurable as @craymond suggests.Configuration might need to be at a context level as well, so that separate Orgs or products could have different visibility settings for non-authorized users for a given security label.
