Option to auto expand the Task for Change Process table in Windchill PDMLink

I look at the table of Tasks for Change Process on CN's quite a bit and it's annoying to have to expand them every time I open a CN. It would be nice for each user to have the option to expand everything or specific tables. It would be helpful to allow the user to set it as well as the admin.

Absolutely. I do both admin work and user work and there is never a time that I would rather it be collapsed. That section is only useful expanded and giving the company and the user control over that would eliminate many clicks every day that we work with ECNs. Please, if not for the time savings and if not for sanity, at least do it to help preserve our hands! Less clicks please!

Have you tried setting the xconf property:

wt.change2.changeWortItems.tree.isFullExpand -> true ?

Set this property to true to automatically expand all nodes in the Tasks for Change Process table. This table is available under the Process tab on Change Notice and Change Task information pages. If set to false, the default view is only expanded to the first level of the table tree.

I created a call with PTC about it and the tech person said I needed to create a "custom-configs.xml" file with some java code to be able to do that. I closed the call because I didn't want to get into that kind of cusomization. But they never said one way or the other if that line works. I assume not since they provided an alternative. Right now I can't test it on our test server due to some other issues going on.

Well, the setting wt.change2.changeWortItems.tree.isFullExpand set to true worked. We tested on the test server first. Now it's on both test and production. So happy.

I still think it should be a user driven preference.
