Plan owner should be able to be assigned to roles other than Context Manager

Plan owner should be able to be assigned to roles other than Context Manager

With the ability to have subplans, and multiple plans in a context, You should be able to assign a role (other than product/project/program manager) the ability to own and manage a plan.

I am surprised this hasn't got any attention.  Folks must not be using project planning much.

  1. Describe your environment: What is your industry? What is your role in your organization? Describe your stakeholders.
    1. Government
    2. Systems Analyst (PTC Products)
    3. NASA Projects, Schedulers, End Users
  2. What product & version are you currently running?
    1. 12.0.2.9
  3. Describe the problem you are trying to solve. Please include detailed documentation such as screenshots, images or video.
    1. With the ability to create multiple plans now in a context, and have sub plans roll up to higher level plans, it is not practical to only allow the context manager the ability to manage plans. The only work around would be to add regular users that need to manage their own plans the context manager role - however then they have the ability to manage ALL plans as well as have other context capabilities

  4. What is the use case for your organization?
    1.  Having multiple plans with the ability to allow the Plan Owner to fully manage their plans. This allows you to not have to put everyone into the context manager role, and not have to have the context manager manage all plans
  5. What business value would your suggestion represent for your organization?
    1.  Improve efficiency by reducing need to have one person manage all plans
    2. Provide better security by not having to grant regular users access to the context manager role when not necessary
