Prioritize Publishing Queues Based on Size of the file and file extension

Queues are getting stuck in couple of scenarios-

1. A big chunk of 0 kb files are coming in, and holding up the queue just to realize no-content

2. File having unsupported extension and 20+ MBs in size, it is holding up the queue for 15-20 mins, just to realize unsupported

Hello,

There are more cases that the visualization is not possible and could be nice to exclude it from publishing by easy setting (user/admin friendly).

For example huge assemblies that takes 4 hours of publish process and timeout is set to 3,5 hours.

There could be rule to do not publish so huge assemblies and others.

Hello,

what a about publish rules. Maybe the configuration could be done there - asking for filesize and decide whether to publish or not.

Hello @spetras

Good point.

Information about a file size is not on the Object it self (EPM,WTDOC) it is at an ApplicationData

What I know IF condition can cover just parameters from the EPM .

The Idea could be solved by PTC if the file size parameter could be used in the publish rules for EPM directly.

Or allow Alias attribute usage in the PublishRules condition.
