Prohibit Publishing from WVS Job Monitor should only affect selected version

Prohibit Publishing from WVS Job Monitor should only affect selected version

Please provide a preference or property to allow configuring the "Prohibit Publishing" behavior from the WVS Job Monitor so that it only applies to the specific version of the object(s) selected in the list.  The behavior today will prohibit publishing of ALL versions, both already existing and any created in the future.  99.9% of the time we only want to prevent publishing for that one particular version.  (There is no way to fix that one version since making changes to the object will by design create a new version.)

Other, similar product ideas (but not exactly the same!)

Management hasn't archived this yet.  Maybe if a bunch more people vote for it they will keep it alive!  If this would be valuable to you, please vote!

This property when set to true results in only the failed version going on the no-publish list.

@MikeLockwood,

The problem with "publish.service.addprohibitiononpublishfailure.0.0=true" is that is automatically adds everything that fails to the prohibit publishing list.  This is definitely not what I'm looking for.  I only want items added to the list if I manually choose to add them, and then only the specific version selected.

Hi Tom,

I can't find it now but I distinctly remember seeing a column in the list of objects prohibited for publish - either ALL versions or a specific version (that version added from publish monitor).  Might not be this property - might be a simple customization needed to get this to work.

I also remember it changing from 10.x to 11.x, and I think again at 12.x.

Right now I'm consulting a lot on Creo admin but not in Windchill at all - and all my related brain cells are starting to atrophy 🙂

I found case 13628365 that I created on exactly this topic. Printed to PDF but apparently can't attach PDFs here.
