Promotion Approval Task should display the state the object is being promoted to

When a user is assigned the Approve Promotion Task, the task should have the Requested Promotion State in the Attributes.  It's displayed in the email but it doesn't show up on the Attributes for the actual task.  You shouldn't have to navigate from the task to find what state the object is being promoted to.  I had an open ticket for this, C13801484, but doesn't seem like it's possible to add this attribute to the task page which seems weird to me.  If you're approving to promote an object, the task should display that detail.

There was a CS posted yesterday saying that you can configure your Home, Tasks table to allow showing the target state for promotion.  I tried it exactly as stated - couldn't get it to work, so gave that feedback to PTC.  I don't think that the person who wrote the CS actually tried it - some small but important detail left out.  Seems like a valuable thing.

You can easily configure you Workflow tasks to add this attribute.  Since 10.2 M030 we have supported Native Task templates allowing you to have Attributes, Actions and Tables from the PBO right in the Workflow Activity.  We have been updating the OOTB workflow templates with examples over the 11.0 releases - they are very easy to configure and a great way to give your users the information they need right in their Workflow Activity.

Here is a quick example - In the Promotion Request you add the Promotion State to the Workflow Subject Layout of the Promotion Request

As lone as you have defined your Workflow activity to use the Native template and added the Subject panel you will see the following.  This example was using an OOTB system

Thanks.  That works.  Not sure why PTC support didn't point in that direction.  Thank you!
