Currently a new subtype inherits all attributes of the type or subtype from which it was created.  However when editing the layout for the new subtype, there is no option to override inheritance from the parent, forcing the creation of a new layout with none of the attributes defaulted. It would be better to have an option when editing a new subtype layout to remove (or override) any of the inherited attributes. Without this ability there is a deal of time required to recreate a very similar layout for a new subtype that does not contain only some of the inherited attributes.  This was originally reported as an issue CS180826
