In our approval process WF , timer is used to wait for X number of days and if something not completed within X number of days, we are looping back so that the owner of the process gets it to reset his participants for approval process. When all other activities are getting reset , when loop link is fired, timer should also get reset, which is not happening today.
Since it is not supported now, R & D should consider this for enhancement, as this is a valid scenario.
This is important , when any one does rejections on approval process. After re submittal , approval process gets terminated before the X number of days.
So author has to make sure he follows up with approvers outside WC, quickly to get approved. ( which sometimes does not happen and author has to re initiate many times.)
