Hello!
Consider the following scenario:
1) XML dynamicdocument "a" references (cross-ref) XML dynamic document "b".
2) A new publication structure is created, where the author inserts "a" but forgot to insert also "b".
==> BAD RESULT: The cross-reference from a -> b won't be resolved during publishing.
From our point of view, a completeness-checker for a pub-struct is a MUST HAVE, which should have the following capabilities:
a) Perform a completeness-check of a publication structure (like completeness-check of DITA-maps in Arbortext Editor).
b) This completeness-check should be invoked
b1) manually
b2) before changing lifecylce-state of a publication structure
b3) before performing a publish
b4) check also all target-languages
c) Check, if the whole publication is in a desired lifecycle-state.
At the moment this feature is missing and in very big publications, it is nearly impossible (or at least very very hard work) to track down incomplete publication structures.
Kind regards,
your WindchillTeam@DATACOPY
