Considering few manufacturers as obsolete and not to be used any longer, we would like to avoid to be able to create manufacturer parts by selecting any obsolete manufacturer.
When in a need to flag some Suppliers as “not to be used anymore” (may be flagging them with a dedicated lifecycle state for example), we should have an option to let the tool know that supplier is in “Cancelled” or “Obsolete” states (for example only) and in consequence, it must be hidden from Manufacturer part creation.
This technical solution could consist in using a dedicated preference that could be set at the organization level of the organization hosting the suppliers.
