As today, the version attribute (A.4) is describing the revision A and iteration 4. It might be good to know for someone that this object has been checked in 4 times, but for most users, it´s not. Whats interesting is the latest iteration of revision A. The iteration can be found in the history. The benefit is that it´s more clean information and less confusing for non frequent users to only show the revision.
The proposal is to split the values to different attributes (Version, Revision and Iteration). Then the user can select in the table filter what to show.
