Setting Part Attributes in the top level assembly

Setting Part Attributes in the top level assembly

Would it be possible to set the Attributes of individual components when you are in the top level Assembly?.

If you could select the Structure Tab, then next to the Attributes Tab there could be a "Component Attributes" Tab.

When selected it would show up similar to the Structure Tab you could then Change any Heat Treatment, Material, Coating etc. off all the components In Work in one place.

One step further and you could reclassify the Components in the same place.

Each component you change would be checked out, and released objects would not be eligble for selection.

If you had an assembly of many components this would save a lot of time going into each part and minimise the chance of setting to the wrong value.

There is support to Edit Part attributes by via RMB in the structure tree today.  We have had some thoughts on other ways to support this process and will consider in the future.
