Simplify Exporting of files from Windchill

Simplify Exporting of files from Windchill

Currently, to export a .stp file from Windchill, it takes a minumum of 13 steps; collecting, packaging, preparing the package for export, zipping, and finally exporting.

Please simplify this process and add a simple export option: File, Export, done.

Can you provide some more details on this? Which functionality you are refering to? Is it Windchill packages? (Formerly work packages)

When you say exporting a .stp file from Windchill, do you mean a CAD Document .stp file already present in Windchill?

By saying "collecting, packaging, preparing the package for export, zipping, and finally exporting." which Windchill functionality are you referring to?

@Virendra, I'm not sure what you're asking; we're just trying to export a file from Windchill.  i.e. a machinist needs a step file, or an engineer needs a .pdf file that is stored in Windchill.

Have you tried publishing the file as a STEP or IGES file. Then the user right clicks on the visualisation in the Content tab and can download the STEP file in a couple of steps.
