Currently in the spares optimization portion of WQS's calculate function you click on optimize spares under RBD and then all of the spares pool items needing optimization within the detailed Parameters view. When you have a large spares pool and a need to switch back and forth between the optimizer and the spares pool quantities the process can be quite labor intensive. Please note that unchecking a single detailed spare optimization check box does not always uncheck the "use Result" check box which adds additional time to the process.
I would like to recommend that the tool be modified so that unchecking the main optimize check box forces the simulation to ignore all other lower level optimization check boxes. This will make the process more logical and streamline the process.
I would also recomend the addition of a button to the detailed parameter section of the optimization that would automaticly add the optimized values to the respective spares pool fields in the support file. This way you can have all of your parameters and results in 1 exportable file.
