Frustrated with Subscriptions in a Project. At the top level of a Project select Project "Details", and select "Subscribe" under the Action pull-down. Here you can select your favorite objects, select "New Object" action and create the subscription, but it will never be triggered. To get a subscription to a new object you must "Subscribe" in a sub-folder, not the top level. This is a known problem (Case C11882563) and is in both Windchill 9.1 and 10.2.
So here is the request: either 1.) add the functionality at the project top level or 2.) take away the option of creating a subscription where there is no function/trigger.
I don't know the extent of the missing functionality. Creating a new folder triggers in the top folder but object creation does not. I will leave it to the engineers and reader to fully exercise what is missing and what works.
