Currently you can supersede WTParts in Windchill 10.2.
This functionality should be available for Documents and Models.
Frequently an older document is retired and replaced with a new version. This would allow someone to trace the full history.
An example for models, we have a lot of library models for COTS items, sometimes people make their own model. We would like to supersede outdated models with the current models. This would show what new model should be used on the next iteration of the design.
Today our workaround is a supersede lifecycle state and manually editing the document to include which document superseded it.
