As of 11.0 M010, projects support multiple plans. So, for example, "Project A" can have the "Engineering Plan" and the "Design Plan" and so on. They are managed within the same context and can therefore share the same team, resources, data:
That's a good improvement for collaboration. There are many projects that contribute to a product and to have it all in one schedule is unreasonable, as it appears PTC has acknowledged with this upgrade. Seems like it's one step away from allowing cross-project dependencies, which is critical to keep projects/programs moving. If they did this, they would out ahead of many project management software. For that one reason it becomes to difficult to manage a large project.
