Currently you can assign an action item to any team member of a product. This becomes really issue when you have hundreds or thousands of team members that have read access to the product.
Better approach would be to restrict this list or make the list customizable so that only certain roles can be assigned a task. Most of the time we end up assigning to task to a wrong person as there are so many people that have read access to the product as the list "owner" of the task is huge.
