The Windchill user interface (UI) is in need of a major update.
The outdated and click heavy UI is a major contributing factor with poor end user adoption of Windchill for non-traditional PLM users. End users are typically redirected to screen after screen and tab after tab to find the information they are looking for. The same is true for users that participate in the change process. Finding the information you need and knowing where to click once you find it has been a major sore spot for anyone that falls outside of an engineering type role. It is a shame that a platform that contains so much data is so difficult to use.
Unfortunately, a solution that could resolve this issue (Navigate) has not delivered the experience PTC has been promising customers for years.
I highly encourage PTC to rethink the Windchill UI. Query your users to identify the things that are most important and build a UI that is more intuitive.
