CS44644 describes the issue - Default values for WTPart Usage Link attributes are not set if the link is created via an auto associate action.
R&D Statement is :
SPR has been closed as working to specifications with following explanation from R&D :
- The default value defined within a type definition is only used to establish a default value within a client.
- This value is not referenced or used during serverside persistence of an object.
From my perspective (and a lot other companies that have linked calls to this CS) this default values should also be established during auto associate.
It should not be impossible to get a consistent behaviour just because it is working to R&D's Spec.
