The files are already in PDF format, just stored in Windchill as a .pvz file, which is opened in Creo View.

You can set up a publishing job that will create the PDF and save them to disk when the Creo View file is created.

The purpose of utilizing the .pvz files in Windchill for the Creo View viewing is that there is 1 copy of the file and everyone sees the same information. By creating a PDF copy that can be opened in Adobe directly, who knows if someone has the latest information compared to the Creo part/assembly. There is also the issue of extra disk space being consummed by the PDFs, especially if people start to take copies of the file.

Windchill Extensions has a free simple extension which adds a link to published PDF's in Search Results as a column.
From Search, one click brings up the PDF.
