View the Windchill number on the CATIA header and in windows drop-down menu when working with WGM

We have working with CATIA and Smarteam more than 10 years. Now we migrate all our documents to Windchill. Documents under Smarteam are named by a sequence mask (for example for a product we have A00175266.CATProduct in the vault). When we save a CATIA document in Smarteam the CATIA header and the windows MRU change from the filename to the number followed by the Smarteam revision (see picture below).

The idea is to have the same comportment with WGM because the number (30101000101 -> part code ERP) is more explicit for the users than the filename (A00175266.CATProduct).

Windchill has 3 fields, Name, Number and part_name. In Creo, the part_name is what is shown on the screen and in the Creo title bar. Internally to the Windchill DB, the file is stored as 0001254645.prt instead of 1004521.prt that the user sees in Creo and Windchill.

Is there some mapping that needs to be done so you see intelligent names/numbers in Windchill for you CATIA files?

Thank you for your answer.

The issue comes from our migration from Smarteam to Windchill. Our CATIA file names in Smarteam are different from the numbers assigned in Smarteam (example: the number 30101000101 corresponds to the file names A00175266.CATProduct). When we open a document in CATIA from Smarteam, the Smarteam number is displayed instead of the file name. in CATIA from WGM it is the name of the file that is displayed.
I think it would need a mapping for the WGM integration to display the number instead of the file name
.

However for new documents saved in Windchill the file name corresponds to the number (example: 30101000101 -> 30101000101.CATProduct) and in this case users find the correct information on CATIA header and Windows drop-down menu.

It's impossible for us to rename more than 400 000 files migrated to Windchill. A possible mapping in WGM integration is more interesting for us.
