WPA should be updated to generate XLSX instead of XLS for all Reports

WPA should be updated to generate XLSX instead of XLS for all Reports

Currently WPA supports only XLS generated BOM Reports with a limitation of 65536 rows. This leads for some heavy BOM Material Content Reports in cutting information. WPA should be updated to incorporate the XLSX or another option ?? to overcome this limitation.

Info: 65536 is the maximum number of spreadsheet rows supported by Excel 97, Excel 2000, Excel 2002 and Excel 2003 (Excel 2007, 2010 and 2013 support 1,048,576 rows (220)).

I agree. Anyway, it is necessary to redevelop the REACh report (it is no longer compliant with the REACh rules, according with the latest decision of the European Court of Justice).

It will also be the opportunity to add the FlexFields export in the reports !

Hello Pierre,

would you please describe what exactly is not compliant with the REACH rules? Where is there discrepancy between REACH report and latest REACH rules?

Thank You for your advice

Hello Jgregus, sorry for late answer !

The curent REACh report agregates the found substances at the product level. Thanks to that, we can calculate the concentration at the product level, and declare only those for which the result is > 0.1%  -> this was compliant with the initial REACh rules, not with the new ones. We now have to declare the substances that are present in any article at a concentration > 0.1%, and to provide the customers with location information and instructions of safe use.
