When doing a search across many object types, need Created By in results

Currently you have to search each object idependently (CAD document vs WTpart vs WTdocument).  In order to research business critical documents that are in the wrong state I have to create a report and send out to the users.  For example when we have many objects in "In Work" status that are not on Change Notices.  I have to do an independant search by each user to create this report.  This takes an enormous amount of time.  I should be able to include WTpart, WTdocuments and CAD documents and search for "In Work" status and have in the results "Created by"

One option you have is to create a query builder report - Follow https://support.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/case_solution.jsp?n=CS176778.

You can modify it to add a created by user field. It is worth using the data monitor to run the report periodically and send the link to users. Please let me know if you have additional question, I can post some more information.

Agreed.

Really they should just expand the ability to modify the Search Results table as much as we can modify the view of other tables. For example, in context folder view there are dozens of columns available but when trying to customize the search results there are only 16. PTC should let us decide what to show in the search results table.
