The contrast between panes in Windchill 10.2 is not good. It often causes confusion for users when trying, for example to perform "Resize table". This can be seen in one's work space with the My Tasks, Updates, & Checked-Out Work panes, or in almost any operational window.
I find the poor contrast especially troublesome when trying to perform fast analyses of Change Objects' status on the Process tab.
It is almost like someone went to a hardware store's paint swatch area & chose the lightest possible gray they could find.
Some important things to mention should PTC decide this suggestion has merit.
1. The bars at the top & bottom of panes do not necessarily need color to make more contrast, they just need more contrast.
2. It could be that without a deep change to the software, one cannot separate changing the contrast of the bar at the bottom of a pane from that at the top. If this be the case, then a contrast increase would also affect visibility of icons, drop-down titles, & search boxes within the bars. I'm sure whomever would investigate such changes would pay mind to this, but just wished to mention it. No doubt more contrast could be acheived in the top bars without negative effects on other tools.
3. Only a minor increase in contrast is requested. First of course, the point above about the top bar containing other tools must be considered if indeed both bars would have to be changed without a deep change to the software. Second, anything beyond a minor change might create distraction.
Notice in the attached Word file the subtle differences that improve visibility of such a bar, & subtle changes to the darkness of the font to accomodate the changes to the bar.
