Add to ability to classify CAD Objects directly in Windchill without having to using WTParts. A lot of companies don't need WTParts but would benefit from CAD Classification Searching. This would be a huge boost for searchability in Windchill - most people can only find CAD objects if they know the number/name of the file today.
- Please add an easy way to users to add to classification information - possibly during check in from a Workspace.
- The CAD classification information should be editable without having to check out the file - assuming the user has permissions.
- Windchill parameters 'designated' from Creo or other CAD should also be able be used in classification search (length, width, height, etc.).
- Creating/searching CAD Classification info shouldn't require any additional licensing. If you can create/modify CAD, you should be able to classify it. Everyone should be able use this info to search by.
