Please make Windchill more intuitive by adding helpful hover tooltips (brief but helpful descriptions when users hover their mouse) and links to related help documentation.
Examples:
- Described by Documents (version specific) vs Reference Documents (version independent). Providing a helpful tooltip where the average person could understand the difference and a link to the related help documentation. Or (Version Specific) and (Version Independent) could be included in the names in Windchill.
- Variance vs Deviation vs Waiver. The New Variance menu is confusing whether users should pick Deviation or Waiver. Providing a helpful tooltip where the average person could understand the difference and link to help documentation.
- New Variance, Problem Report, Change Request, Change Notice, etc. Providing a brief hover tooltip description here would be helpful for users.
- Under Product context > Teams, the out of the box descriptions for Roles/Members are absolute garbage and provide no help. Providing a better description and a link to the related help documentation would be extremely helpful - especially for the Roles related to Variances, Problem Reports, Change Request, and Change Notices. This help page helped me figure the roles.
