It would be much easier to create report designs, if the report designer would have a layer management like Microsoft Word. Where you can move text fields in the foreground to work with them, then move them to the background to work with an text field that was laying "behind" that you were working with before.
In my report design I wanted a rectangular boundary around some text fields, so i drew a box over them. But then i wanted to change one of the text fields and had to move the box away, after that i had to struggle to get box back to align with the text field as before.
