Windchill team,
I posted a similar thread here seeking input on how to work around my current issues with regional users:
Windchill 10.2 packaging
We have Windchill instance hosted in the United States and 5 global replicas scattered throughout the world. Replicas are configured to look for the closest replica available if content is not available on the replica. Replication jobs are running. Users are set with their preferred replica.
The issue in our testing is the geographic introduced latency back to the our master host located in the United States. Meaning the meta calls back to master. Additionally the creo client / workspace and related back end soap calls to master also make the situation worse in a high latency scenario.
My request is to have a multi-master functionality both in file replicas but additionally metadata / db calls. I would like to put a local windchill instance in region x, y and z while the master (located in the US) is keeping them all in sync behind the scenes.
The benefit in this is that our global design partners and team members have a more reliable and performing solution especially working in the Creo workspace.
