Windchill must NOT allow to rename a CAD document with hyphen(-) which is not acceptable by Creo Parametric

I discovered some cad documents with hyphen as first character of the file name in Windchill.

They are not openable. Then I discovered that Creo Parametric don't allow to create filename with hyphen (as first character) and I opened a ptc case, they created an spr but now it is close as "Product enhancement".

Then I create an idea for them.

Thanks

This is another example of PTC not utilizing a design guide which states what file names may be named across all products.

They may have one for Windchill and one for Creo, but they don't have one for the 2 systems to cross-communicate.

This could also be from Creo being developed in the late 1980's and Windchill coming along 10 years later in another part of the country before they were merged by acquisition. But that merger was some 15(?) years ago, so you would think someone would realize they need to communize file naming.

With Creo Elements Direct Modeling, they have a simular issues. If you rename the model and use a "/", you can't even load the model or assembly, and you get a very strange error. Or they must use the same design rules in both systems, or they must allow you to switch of the synchronisation from wt back to the CAD tool.
