Actually to rename an object we need to do it object by object.

It will be nice to be able to do it for multi objects (result of serach, baseline or into same folder ...) like we did it with intralink 3.4

Please refer to Idea:

Allow PDMLink user to do anything to multiple unrelated objects that they can to one: Rename, Delete...

Please check this product idea: Allow PDMLink user to do anything to multiple unre... - PTC Community.  As Jeff has mentioned, implementation is in progress for the rename.
