"Partial load" should only show outlines of the real geometry as a bounding box

"Partial load" should only show outlines of the real geometry as a bounding box

It should be possible for the partial loading of models from Creo Elements/Direct Modeling via the Workgroup Manager to display the bounding box of the individual parts of the model in the viewport.

When a model is partially loaded, only structural and meta information is loaded, but no real geometry to CED Modeling.

Partially loaded objects can be reloaded by changing the "Load Type" to "Lightweight" or real geometry.
This makes possible:

  • fast loading of large assemblies
  • Make structural changes without real geometry
  • and uses the least amount of RAM

To see the approximate dimensions of the individual parts, the bounding box of the objects should be displayed.

This enables navigation to certain areas of the construction, e.g. to work there or make changes.

The Bounding Box parameters (X, Y, Z) can be determined when saving the individual parts to Windchill.

In addition, the command "Load By 3D Box" could then be used again.

This mechanism is already available for CED Model Manager.

please check out this as well.

bottom line: how you load an assembly should be a choise upon the load from within uwgm, no matter where you start the action.
