Ability to query on multiple relationship levels

It should be possible to create queries which filter information by using more then one relationship level.

At the moment it is not possible doing this.

Basically any tree analysis (as currently possible in a report)

e.g.

• query all Defects of state != "done"
  • that are related to Work items (stereotype user story) of state "accepted"
    • that are related to Work item (stereotype Sprint) of state "in progress"
      • that are related to project backing items of state "active"

of curse you are right; this usecase would be easy with nested queries.

IHMO nested queries are a far more powerful (and desirable) concept, but unfortunately is seem less likely that we will see it soon .

So the "multiple relationships" query is more or less a spin-off of the "nested-queries" idea.

A "baby-step" into the right direction
