Additional Reporting regarding Lines of Code

Additional Reporting regarding Lines of Code

Required Functionality:

After Choosing 2 Project Revisions (or a Project Revision compared with Head) there should be calculated:

  • no. of Files added
  • no. of Files changed
  • no. of Files dropped
  • Lines of Code added       (only text archives without Store by Reference)
  • Lines of Code changed    (only text archives without Store by Reference)
  • Lines of Code dropped    (only text archives without Store by Reference)

Today's situation:

Information above can't be collected with existing Metrics, but Customer's are requesting them.

Using  Configuration Management Project Metrics does not bring out such infos, but 'only' some general infos.

And to get them it is necessary to activate script file  "metrics.js" which -per user manual- might have a performance impact,

in our company's case had been switched off for detected performance issues.

AND it needs additional scripting combined with a third party tool to get the infos listed above gets collected.

Alternatively required infos might also be collected by using various CLI commands (si mods, si rlog) combined with scripted calculation

of the metrics described in the beginning.

Again lot of programming to be done outside of Integrity.

Better way would be a proven way done within Integrity which follows a common approach like it is done for eg. in Tools for Code Analysis.
