Currently, the check mark on a tab denotes that some field has been populated. It could be any field. If a tab has 100 fields, the check mark will display if any one of them is populated. I would like to see the check mark indicator be field specific. So, if field 30 of the 100 is populated, display the check mark.
Absolutely a great improvement idea because tab checkmarks are useless at present.
This is a good one.
Maybe it would be an option to a "may trigger check mark" attribute as a possible field overwrite per type. Default could be true, and the user can disable it on demand.
Currently check marks e.g. based on computed metrics are really annoying
Thanks for the submitted idea.
We will evaluate the possible improvements to notify changes as we work on the new Web UI.
To implement the idea as suggested, involves non trivial administrative level changes which is not planned. Hence I am marking this idea as No Plans to Implement.
Notification could be an alternative to watch out for changes in the fields of interest.
