When opening an item through a URL (support both web and client formats), allow specifying which tab to open, either by name or relative number. Today, when sending an email notification with a link to an item, i need to always include instructions for which tab to select when the item is being opened, so that infrequent users know what to do. Even experienced users may not know which tab holds the information that I want to direct them to see.
