There should be the possibility to use one SI-server as a central repository together with more than one IM-server. As an example: If there are a number of departments in a company which are in need to use different datamodels (or processes) in IM, it would be more and more difficult to get all these different datamodels into one information model in integrity. At the moment the departments may be forced to split their single-server-IM-environment into a multiple-server-environment. But they are also in need to use the same SI-environment, because they have to share data from one SI-project to another. This could be done by connecting more than one IM-servers to a single SI-server, which is actually not possible.
