Bulk formatting change in documents

You can do bulk changes on several items on field values but not on their formatting, which could be quite useful especially in the case of headings. There are currently too many clicks involved to make a heading a good heading: you have to change the category to heading and then you need to change the format to heading. The former you can do in bulk, but the latter is really a pain to change the formatting of all headings in a document.

I have created a small java routine to help out here.

It will automatically choose the right format according to the headings level. It has a preview option as well.

Were you able to try out the java routine suggested by Volker? Did it help?

Currently the test formatting functions only when you are within the text editing mode, where the selection would be text.

In the idea, you are suggesting an ability where multiple headings (sections) can be selected in context of a document and a common formatting be set.

It might not be possible to implement this idea as suggested, but we will evaluate the feasibility of supporting this use case as we are working towards improving the User Experience in the Web UI in the upcoming releases.
