Idea: Capability to restrict the relationship between test result and defect
Use Case: Storing test evidence within Windchill RV&S
The Test Session allows entering the test results in the system such as:
executed test case/step, verdict, related defects, attachments (e.g. log files)
Therefore it would be the most natural thing to use all the inputs entered in the system as formally stored test evidence. This only requires a state to be reached in the life cycle of the Test Session which sets all of its contents to none editable (read only).
This is already possible with one exception. Currently it is not possible to restrict that defects are related/de-related from a test result. This is a big flaw for targeting storing formal test evidence in the system.
Closing this last gap ONLY requires the ability to configure the editablity of the test results relationship to defects (as it is done for verdicts and attachments).
In my work environment (Aerospace & Defense) this would be a big benefit!
