GUI links for editissue and createissue

This is a product idea conversion of case 159115 and RFC 953900 from January of 2014.

Integrity currently support editissue and viewissue links to the WebUI, but only supports viewissue links to the GUI. Improve UI consistency by allowing edit issue links to the GUI.

The following text was copied from case 159115:

Add support for "im createisssue" and "im editissue" commands in the "Integrity://" URL protocol

• Extend Integrity:// functionality for im createissue and im editissue commands
• Add support for "im createisssue" command in the "Integrity://" URL protocol
• Would like the ability to open an Item Edit window in the Integrity GUI by using a hyperlink (URL)

Thanks for submitting this idea. We value your feedback however PTC Integrity R&D is not considering implementing this feature in future release of Integrity.

Yes, it would be nice to know why not. I hope it's because the new interface will support all or most commands anyway.

We need the ability to tell users "click here to [view/edit/create] and item", for example in an email.

This is very important, I hope PTC understands that.

Did some review around this internally - if I were to send an "edit link" via email - the user would first click on the link & then provide the log-in if the interface is not open and then the system would have to do all the checks in the background & then respond with either the appropriate view or an error.

I don't think there is a guaranteed savings in time - at the most a click is all that would be saved by the user receiving the email.

Cody am I missing to see the great big value with this feature?
