In the Web UI, when viewing an item on a tab, launch the edit view on the same tab.

In the Web Client, view an item... Then switch to a tab... Then edit the item... The editor will open to the first-tab. Our users would like the edit to open to the tab that they were viewing.

 

This is in the list of top 5 complaints/requests from the user-community of our organization.

This should be the behavior in the thick client as well, there is no reason to have the web and client behave differently and both need to be improved.

This is also one of the top complaints for us.

As we will be enhancing over Web UI to provide an improved User Experience, we will be considering this idea.

I am moving this idea to "Future Consideration"

The Refreshed Web UI has taken this into consideration. There is no plan to extend the same behavior to ther other interfaces.
